I am She whom God created

My wonderful Father-in-law was a master at delivering moving monologues. Listening to him, you heart became engaged with the story that unfolded scene by scene on the stage of your imagination.

One of the monologues was called "The Old Violin - the Touch of the Master's hand" and told the tale of a violin being sold at an auction.

The old violin stood there, dusty, battered and scarred, seemingly of no value. No bids came forth from an unimpressed audience.

From the back of the hall an old man came forward, picked up the violin and began to play.

"He played a melody, pure and sweet, as sweet as the angel sings.

The music ceased and the auctioneer...with a voice that was low, said,

'What now am I bid for this old violin?' as he held it aloft with it's bow.

'One thousand, one thousand, Do I hear two?

Two thousand, who makes it three?

Three thousand once, three thousand twice,

Going and gone', said he."

The auctioneer was later asked by members of the crowd who couldn't understand what had changed and why the violin suddenly became so valuable and the auctioneer replied, "It was the touch of the Master's hand."

Today in our world, I believe that so many women and girls have not understood the incredible value of who they are, not just their value but who God created them to be.

It is my quest, by the grace of God, that in these next few weeks, I might restore an understanding of your beauty, your value and your purpose.

You are highly favored and unconditionally loved.

Blessings

Sylvia.

You were dreamed of, desired and created by God - Part One

Thousands of years ago, more than six thousand to be exact, God the Father, Jesus (then known as The Word) and the Holy Spirit were sitting together when God the Father said, "Let Us make man in Our image, in Our likeness - Genesis 1:26 (Why?) so that they can rule on the earth.

The Word and the Holy Spirit agreed and so together they set about creating the earth and Adam and Eve.

Picture creation - the earth formless and empty, the face of the deep is in darkness and the Holy Spirit is just hovering there, waiting for the command...

Suddenly God speaks "Let there be light."

Brilliant light illuminates everything and Creation has begun. Can you see it?

God speaks again and creates the first day.

Again and again God speaks and the beauty and the brilliance of this greatest work of art unfolds.

"Light and dark, heaven and earth, land and sea - it's beginning to take shape. With passion and brilliance the Creator works in large sweeping movements on a grand scale. Then He moves back over them again for a second pass as He begins to fill in color, detail, finer lines". (Taken from the book "Captivating" by John & Stasi Eldridge.)

You can just feel the magnificence of this most amazing work of art.

God continues.

"Forest and meadow burst forth. Tulips and pine trees and moss-covered stones. And notice - the masterpiece is becoming more intricate, more intimate. He fills the night sky with a thousand million stars, and He names them, sets them in constellations.

Into our world God opens His hand and the animals spring forth. Myriads of birds, in every shape and size and song, take wing - hawks, herons, pelicans. All the creatures of the sea leap into it - whales, dolphins, fish of a thousand colors and designs. Horses, gazelles, buffalo thunder across the plains, running like the wind. It is more astonishing than we could possibly imagine."

(taken from the book "Captivating" by John and Stasi Eldridge.)

And then the most astonishing thing takes place - God creates a man in His own image! A man who can walk and talk and have fellowship with God!

AND YET...

Genesis 2:18 And the Lord God said, "It is not good that man should dwell alone, I will make him a helper comparable to him."

NB. The amazing thing was that everything that God had created up to this point was not enough. Even though God and Adam had fellowship, God recognized that something was missing.

Genesis 21-22 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam and he slept, and He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh in it's place. Then the rib, which the Lord God had taken from the man, He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.

V31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good.

Finally, after having created Eve as a helper and companion, God was satisfied and then God rested. The great masterpiece was now complete!

Eve and you and I are the final touch of the Master's hand in an awesome masterpiece!

This is who you really are!

The amazing thing though is that you and I were thought of and planned at the same time as Adam and Eve. ..before God made the world!

Ephesians 1:4 Just as He chose us in Him (when?) before the foundation of the world, (why?) that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.

Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;before you were born I sanctified you, I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.

Psalm 139:16 Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before even one of them came to be.

You are beautiful, valuable and precious.

You are on a journey and developing...being transformed from glory to glory. God purposefully created you to be on the earth at this time for a very specific reason!

Jesus the author and finisher of our faith is daily manifesting the next step of your story upon this earth. Trust Him, listen for His Holy Spirit to reveal it to you and enjoy your greatest love story!

From my heart to yours,

Blessings!

Sylvia
